To all those haters saying Messi didnt deserve the golden ball: He scored 4 goals and gave 1 assist. But whatever, this is a golden ball, not a golden foot. Take care on his performance. Logic: First, he scored the second goal against Bosnia and that was the reason they got 3 points. Without his goal the score would be probably 1:1 and only one point for Argentina. Second, he scored the goal against Iran in the 91th minute, whereas Iran had parked the bus the whole game and had a tough defence, but Messi still managed to score and gave Argentina 3 points. Without his goal the score would be probably 0:0 and only one point for Argentina. Third, he scored two amazing goals against Nigeria, and couldve scored more if he wasnt replaced. Without his goals, Argentina would lose by 1:2 with 0 points for Argentina. Fourth, in the 118th minute against Switzerland he assisted Di Maria for the only goal on thr match, and got 8.4 rating. Fifth, he got a 7.8 rating against Belgium which is good. He got 4 man od the match in 7 matches. Highest among all 11 accurate long balls and 10 accurate crosses won and 11 tackles being a forward. Most sucesfull dribles (23) and most chances created (46). And he scored the penalty goal against Netherlands which needs concentration and strentgh to score after 120 minutes of playing footbal. Haters, atleast he played WC final which Ronaldo never will, and defo he deserved that golden ball. We love you Messi!
