Today is a milestone in the karate journey of three young Goju karate center students as they will be challenging for their junior black belt rank. After years of dedication, and the last six months of intense preparation, today they will be on the dojo floor demonstrating the skills they have learned, and perhaps more impressively the mental and emotional strength and fierce determination that they have developed through this process. In addition to their own hard work they have been unwaveringly supported by their families and dojo mates without whom reaching this point would have been impossible. So please join us in wishing Mia, Cole and Liam the very best today as they face the task ahead. We look forward to their transformation into the black belt ranks, not an end but a New Beginning. The test begins at noon; for those brown and black belts who are participating but not testing please arrive no later than 11:30am. We hope all Goju karate center members will be able to stop to show your support even if just for a short time.
