Tomorrow is a VERY special day in the Bowen household. Papaw turns 79. (He cries when I tell him, so I wont remind him that next year is the big 8-0) This will be his fourth birthday spent at home since his stroke. He is still happy and content. I will never regret my decision to take care of him instead of putting him in a nursing home (despite the advice of his doctors and nurses). Four years after the stroke he still cant talk or walk, but he is as sharp as he can be. There is no doubt in my mind that he would not be with us today if he werent at home. We love you Papaw!!! Happy Birthday.
