WE HAVE THREE GIG AVAILABILITIES FOR REVIEWERS. All reviewers will be given free entry for themselves and a +1. Over the next couple of weeks we have three outstanding bands coming to London to play shows; the hard rocking Chasing Dragons, dark electro-pop from Das Fluff and BBC6/Xfm favourites Wild Smiles. The dates are below - if anyone is interested in going please COMMENT on this post saying so. Wednesday 9th July - Macbeth, London Chasing Dragons - chasingdragons.co.uk/ Exudes passion, class and conviction 8/10 Powerplay Magazine Packed with hard-hitting riffs, raw vocals and the catchiest of hooks Big Cheese Female fronted Leeds based hard-rockers Chasing Dragons are a whirlwind live act who recently worked with Lee Batiuk (Deaf Havana) on their recent Checkmate EP and have shared stages with Pendulum, InMe, Death Angel, The Sweet and Fearless Vampire Killers amongst others. Broken Jaws video: youtube/watch?v=ZX5rtmNITHQ Saturday 12th July - The Sebright Arms, London Das Fluff - dasfluff/ A compelling electro-pop rollercoaster The Independent A pulsating twisted expletive strewn dark alley electronic pop song God Is In the TV Shadowy and beguiling Das Fluff combine icy-post punk with hypnotic and sensual electro; moments recall the confrontational drama of Depeche Mode, the desolate industrial stomp of Front 242 or Fad Gadget with some Gary Numan undercurrents. You can see the video for Shut the F**k Up here: youtube/watch?v=kX1ECZOJI6Q Friday 18th July - XFMs John Kennedys The Remedy, Tooting Trams Dub Hub (headline), London Wild Smiles - wildsmiles.co.uk/ Expertly melding their fuzzy take on West Coast Surf Pop and Beach Boys-esque vocal harmonies - The 405 Raucous, noise-fuelled fusion of pop and danger. At heart, the band just want to write Beach Boys style hymnals, but what comes out feels more like a distorted, bracing view of Dinosaur Jr or The Jesus And Mary Chain. - Clash Sunday Best signed Winchester trio Wild Smiles have already clocked up radio plays from Zane Lowe, John Kennedy, Jo Good, Radcliffe & Maconie, Huw Stephens, Lauren Lavern and Steve Lamacq whilst winning plaudits left right and centre.
