*Warning: This is a raw and vulnerable heart felt blog. I apologize in advance if you become offended, for that is not my intent. Feel free to stop reading if this becomes the case. This is not to cause arguments nor bring political conversations to the feed. I just need to share what the Lord has heavily put on my heart this morning as I spent time with him.** My heart is deeply mourning the death of my christian brothers and sisters in other countries who have had their life END because of their faith. I cannot stop weeping at the thought that we are so naive here in america, thinking we are invincible and indestructible. LIFE IS SHORT. We are one of the only countries left where christians are not being KILLED for their faith. I am reading of the thousands of increasing beheadings & executions in Africa, Asia, Middle East, and all around the world. As graphic as the videos and blogs may be, we NEED to get this through our head, God says it will only get harder. WE NEED TO BE PREPARED SPIRITUALLY FOR ALL THAT WILL COME. Its not about your iphone, car, career, children, school, job, college degree your working towards, texting, family, friends, music, boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, dogs, travels, or any other hobby or materialistic thing you own. If you are willing to have your LIFE TAKEN, your FINAL breath taken off this earth for loving Jesus, then those are the ones who truly know god. If you, like me, dont understand the importance nor intensity of that statement, we have HUGE thinking and praying to do. Dont waste your time. Its about Jesus. And yes, us as christians in america are not far off from persecution and being murdered from our faith. This post is not to bring fear... but to understand what the word of God warns us is to come. WE CANNOT WASTE TIME. GET TO KNOW YOUR SAVIOR. HE BRINGS PEACE AND CALM WHEN THE STORMS OF DARKNESS HIT. HE WILL BE OUR STRENGTH AND HOPE DURING PERSECUTION. There is a reason he tells us to not be focused on the things of this world, but the one after. People dont like to hear that persecution is around the corner for people of our faith... but if you read the word, which is truth, its ALL there. Lets be praying for our brothers and sisters in other countries. Let us not be numb to the fact of what is going on ALL around us on this planet. And understand that YES, it DOES directly effect YOU. This is OUR FAMILY, the body of christ being hurt and under persecution. Our brothers and sisters. Let us PLEASE be keeping them in prayer and in the mean time understand WHO our savior is and how he DESPERATELY loves us! Tay
