Well 2014 comes to a close and we now embark on 2015, a new year, with hope of bigger and better things. 2014 was not a great year for me. I have endured an onslaught of medical issues and I am growing tired. Have also suffered the loss of several close friends Jerry Fisher, Shaun Seifer and others. Also suffered the fracturing of some relationships that I was not expecting. 2014 did have its high points. I saw four young men and women Tristan Beadle, Wesley Parker, Heaven Leigh Henry and Kaleigh Espinoza graduate, so proud of them. But their graduation also marked them embarking on the bext chapter in their lives. I also made some great, new friends this year, Olga Diaz, Don Greene and Siobhan Michael Crews to name a few. And some business relationships that have turned into personal friendships Shad Hunziker, Stephen Siaw. I am also blessed with great students this year Luka Paciulli and Anthony S Vest. They are turning into great young men. Unfortunately I also seen the uglier side of my neighbors, something that was disappointing. As always I am blessed with friends and family Ann Webb, Diana Bojorquez, Connie Rochelle Beadle-Bush, Terry Bush, Dana Anton, Jacob Rusthoven, Joseph Herrera, Stephanie Minshall. My old friends Stan Witz, Mary Ann Volta. Without each of you I could not survive. And even a most unlikely close friendship with Michael Anton, a friendship I truly cherish. I am trying to stay positive with the new year with hopes that it will be better, dare say happier. I have a special New Years prayer for all of leaders, from the top to our city leaders Sam Abed, Olga Diaz, John Masson, Mike Marasco and Ed Gallo I pray that are led by compassion, by kindness and love. My prayer for everyone is to be kind to each other! I would give my last breath in exchange for each of my family to be kind, gentle and loving to each other. There is simply so much hatred, pure evil hatred, toward other human beings. It truly does not have to be like that. A special prayer for our spiritual leaders, my Pastor Tom Frazier, Jan Lake and Alan Greagrey who at the forefront of this fight. We need love and in the new year I will do my best to stay away from anyone who does not have a spirit of love, compassion and kindness. HAPPY NEW YEAR !!
