What’s on TV Tonight? Friday, October 24 NEW: ‘Constantine’ - NBC - 10PM Est. If ‘The Flash’ hadn’t destroyed all chances of any new show being the best of the best, ‘Constantine’ may have held the honors. This is based on a DC/Vertigo comic, ‘Hellblazer’ and ‘Constantine’. Though put away the notions you have about comic books, that medium is so diverse and rich with original ideas, this is not your typical superhero show. It’s a show about an anti-hero, John Constantine, with the ability to see angels and demons on Earth, and exorcise them back to Hell. Though the show will be formulaic on a weekly basis, I’m sure it will have season-long arcs that will keep the serialized viewers happy. British actor Matt Ryan takes up the role in this Friday night supernatural treat. It’s going to be very reminiscent of ‘Supernatural’. Curses, possessions, the occult, and of course angels and demons. Although debuting on Friday is usually an immediate death sentence, ‘Grimm’ actually performs pretty well for the night. NBC is looking to capitalize on that lead-in’s audience and hook them on another supernatural show. It’s got a lot to look forward too. Don’t associate this with the 2005 Keanu Reeves film, this has way more potential. It’s created by David Goyer (writer of the Nolan Batman trilogy and ‘Man of Steel) and Daniel Cerone (show runner for the first 3 seasons of ‘Dexter’) so we know we’re in for some great television. Also Returning: ‘Grimm’ - NBC - 9PM Est. https://youtube/watch?v=uPE2oBnzROY
