When I get emails from women who say they just cant stop binging at night, I almost always know its because they are actually being *too* strict or depriving earlier in the day or earlier in the week. Often we feel like a failure when we eat all night long after such a great day (or week) of eating. We call ourselves weak, undisciplined cant-even-go-one-day-without-a-treat babies. I get it. Did the weekly (and even daily!) deprive-then-binge cycle for years! But might we consider that the answer to binging is NOT to just be more strict or suck it up, but instead to acting throw ourselves a bone BEFORE we get to the point of overindulgence? Dont expect perfection. Expect to do your best.
