Wow!! Id say Im speechless but I have soooo many words, overwhelmed, surprised, thankful, touched, blessed, loved, grateful, restored, inspired, complete!!! As all of you know this year has been rough, our 1 1/2 year old son Koen had a ruptured brain aneurism just 3 days before his first birthday in May, we spent our entire summer in the ICU and in rehab, (and our 5&3 year old daughters spent the entire summer in camp) he is severely limited because of the damage his brain received during either the rupture or surgery to clamp the aneurism. Regardless of our hardship we have had an amazingly blessed year, we have experienced trust in The Lord that is stronger than its ever been, we have received peace that surrounds us because of The Holy Spirit, we have been blessed by the kindness ,friendship and prayers of so many beautiful people. In November Koen was hospitalized a second time and underwent a set of new surgeries, he pulled through and continues to fight and thrive! Just days after he came home and right before thanksgiving the girls and I completed a project as a family, we made a grinch sign for our yard, it was something that brought us joy! And in the short time we left town (thanksgiving day/night) it was stolen, our hearts were broken! It deeply upset my girls and upset me the most, I MADE that sign! Ive had so much taken away from me this year, my son may never walk or talk, my girls cant run and play with their brother, I lost countless days and nights with my girls because I was sleeping on a hospital recliner and NOW someone thoughtlessly stole something that was mine, something I worked so hard on and was so proud of, something that made my kids happy!!! But today our hearts were not only mended but overfilled with JOY, HOPE, and LOVE. Someone anonymously made/bought us a new grinch!!! They included a thou shall not steal sign with Cindy loo-who, and the hilarious cherry on top was the pad lock they included on the back!!! The letter taped to it was a Grinch card and the inside was filled with beautiful words that have touched us, we dont deserve this, someone put so much thought into blessing us and taking on the project of turning a wrong into a right! Talk about faith in humanity!!! So to my anonymous philanthropist thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts! You have made our hearts grow and you have given us such a priceless gift this Christmas!!!
