Wow. .. tomorrow is moving day. Ive been waiting all week for regret to set in. I sit here amongst the packed boxes, in the dark, staring at the front door envisioning when my boys who were only 1 & 2 at the time, waddled through the front door of what I thought was our forever home. Our dream home. One I put 2 years into designing and building. And I havent shed one tear (and those that know me... know that I am a leaky faucet!) It feels right, to close this chapter and move to a home that exudes happiness from the moment I walked in! And it will take this family from 6 + hours a day in a car, to less than 30 minutes total. It sounds unbelievable to even imagine we were doing that. .. every day. In fact, yesterday, due to weather and traffic... that was even higher! Shane Vallette joked that our first purchase will be snow shoes to walk across the school field in the deep snow. I cant wait. Trading a car for snow shoes as our means of transportation! (American friends... this is NOT typical of us Canadians, despite that you think we live in igloos) 😉 My only thought this week about leaving has been Im really going to miss my ice maker in my fridge, I use it all day!!! Im going to have to ask Santa for 5 new ice trays and start making it the old fashioned way! And now Ill have time to make ice! 😄 Excited... no looking back. 2014... what an AMAZING year for our family, and this move is the icing on the cake. 🎂 Thanks to my amazing mom David Pat Prior for helping us pack this week! You two are ALWAYS there whenever we need you. 💋
