and on the 9th day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said I need A Protecter , So God made a Fireman. He said i need somebody strong enough to lift loads , swing an axe, use tools, and break down doors yet gentle enough to splint a broken arm, ease a troubled family member, and bring a newborn into this world So God Made a Fireman. He said it had to be somebody stubborn enough to never give up when there is only a whisper of a chance to save a life no matter how many times others say quit ... And still be somebody soft hearted enough to share in the pain of loss with a grieving family when that whisper fades away. It had to be somebody who loved to laugh and joke and prank and push others of his breed to the point of building friendships that can only be forged by trusting another with your life... And someone friend enough to stand watch over a brothers family as they wait the long nights in hospital waiting rooms and Emergency Room parking lots, So God made a Fireman. It had to be someone that could work all night, drink a cup of coffee then work all day then go back again a second night and never complain . Someone with the nerve enough to speak up when others coward down, the respect to bow his head when a sight reminds him of a loss, the willingness to put his trust in a higher power than any in this world. And the Heart to be walking out of a building, Ax in hand and hear the words One More and wiping away all his sweat , and ash, and sleeplessness, and exhaushtion, and fear... pack right back up and continue to fight what others fear... So God made A Fireman
