Graham Bonnets voice was perfect for it & 1979s DOWN TO EARTH seemed to signal a new era in Rainbows run. But despite a minor hit with Since You Been Gone (#57, 1979), Grahams fit with the band was always a bit shaky. Still with the band as writing began for 1981s DIFFICULT TO CURE, he left before recording commenced & Joe Lynn Turner came on to see the band through its break-up in 1984 to allow for Purples 2nd wind.
