well. summer season has ended. a quick shout out to my north fork table and inn co-workers: through the fire and the flames we carry on. its an honor to work with you all. day and night. to struggle and to shine. we are a business and a workplace, but it takes a lot of stamina, endurance, and strength to go beyond those general titles. we are a restaurant. we cook hard, serve hard, and care hard. through all the stress and fiascos, still, we push, persevere, persist and just try our best to do something that holds meaning and purpose, whatever it may be. in those moments when the food is delicious, the service is pleasing and the restaurant is humming, thats what makes it all worth it. when a father and his son buy the kitchen a round of shots because they felt the food was so outstanding, and then come into the kitchen to say hi and drink the shots with us, well, thats a simply good feeling. a compliment to our days work.
