Celebrating Roderick In Orlando, Florida meesh style ;-) I was running late today. I know, but Anyway.. . I stopped at the store to pick up RodMans goodies. The balloon guy was rude so I was rude back. As I said I was running late so I pulled out the sympathy trump card. I shared Rodericks story AND showed the employee the picture of RodMan, his mom, and his aunts that I keep in my cell. His name is Mike. He was so moved by the story that I asked him to choose the main Happy Birthday balloon. When I got to the register to pay Michael told the cashier the red balloon was on him. So heres your shout out I promised ya! MIKE! When it came time to release the balloons we all walked out back. 5 of us as a matter of fact. :-) My good friend, Rick Johnson, lead us in a short prayer for Roderick. Then he began to talk about Roderick as a 5 year old boy living and thriving in Heaven. It felt like Roderick was with us grinnin. When Rick concluded it was time to Release The Balloons! 7yr old Sara sent the first two off. Then her Dad. Then me!!! We all looked up ward and expected them just to float up and away. Nope. They hung around. It seemed as if the first 2 balloons were waiting for the others to catch up with them. They got in formation and hovered above us playing on the wind streams. We were ALL looking upward enjoying the balloons show. We were laughing and pointing stuff out to each other like we were kids ourselves. Everyone of us had BIG OLE GRINS on our faces. The balloons then began to float off to where ever celebration balloons go. As we walked away the mood was more than happy and full of love for a little boy we havent met yet. :-) meesh, sarah, loki, john, & rick
