HAVE A LISTEN .... YK PROMOTIONS & GTWORLD RADIO PRESENT Yanique Sasha ---------------------------- Who is Yanique Sasha::::::::::::::::::::: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yanique_sasha https://facebook/yanique.sasha My name is Yanique Sasha, I am a singer and songwriter. I was born in Kingston Jamaica, and I have been living in the United States for a little over 22 years. I currently reside in Orlando Florida. I enjoy writing songs, poetry, children stories and words of encouragement. An Instrumental is like a blank canvas and I can paint anything I want from just simply placing myself in the scenery… I love family and good relations with others. I am a person who encourages people to find their inner strength within because it is imperative for their happiness. I say it is a balance with strength and humility. I pray to God always for me to see the things within that I have to change to make myself a better person. I always try to find solutions to eradicate the epidemic of darkness. I know I cannot change the world but I surely can do my part. My musical journey puts many things into perspective. It challenges the things in life that are important; it questions my loyalty to myself and the loyalty of others. It embraces a life of constant change as I welcome the unknown. It reveals who I am underneath the many layers that lead to “ Me” within. I would say my true passion and calling is what keeps my spirit optimistic even when there are disappointments. I have worked with many producers over a period of time, however JonFx is the one behind the bulk of my catalog. He is an expert in his craft and is able to capture who I am and bring that to surface level. I have also done many background vocals for various artists and I write for them as well, the latest being 2 songs for Danchall Artist Cecile on her current album “Still Running” Ladidadi and Kingston Girl. I also collaborated with Reggae singer Gyptian on a song called “Touch” which is on his “I Can Feel Your Pain” album. I also did the intro to Movado’s album, “David Psalms”. I write many different genres of songs, Reggae, Dancehall, R&B, and Ballads. They all capture the essence of who I am, but at the same time, it is relatable to others so they too can reflect. Variety keeps things interesting, a promise of something new. My song “Spread Love” is my universal anthem. It promotes Love and stresses its importance to the healing of the world… My other song “Passa Passa” is more up tempo dancehall... The feedback is good. Many people feel the way I feel in this song... In the song I say “got no time for what you inna inna, the labba labba labba, passa passa passa, mi nuh inna inna”... What I mean by that is just saying I don’t have time for the “mix up ting” and if it means not having many friends, it’s ok. My song “Broken” sheds light on the pain and suffering in the world. It reminds us that when we go to bed at night and when we wake up in the morning, there is someone, somewhere in the world whose life is broken, so we need to pray for others and remember to be grateful. I have many musical influences, however I have a deep appreciation for Bob Marley. He is a deep thinker and he sings with the passion to uplift and heal. He awakens your inner consciousness to make a difference... I also love Lucky Dube... The texture to his voice rests on my soul… You see, it’s all about the feel, and what feels real…. I would love to be able to share my words with the world, and change lives in a positive way and to teach people that Love, Kindness, Humility and Simplicity are fashionable. I want to be able to also help others achieve and vision the things in life that brings them happiness and joy. We are all connected …
