John Escobedo: When Joss Whedon was asked why do you write these - TopicsExpress

John Escobedo: When Joss Whedon was asked why do you write these strong female characters? He said Because youre still asking me that question. Chances are you are sick of hearing about politics, sick of hearing about it from me. If you ask me Why is politics so important anyways? My answer is Because you keep asking that. Politics is not just a matter of opinion, its also a process, one that governs just about every major choice made in this country. We elect representatives to politic for us. When you notice law makers being outrageous, or you say wow how did that guy get elected? its simply because you dont pay attention or dont vote frequently enough. Its complex, and I dont expect everyone to stay informed on every choice and topic. However, being able to understand it, even just a little, is very important. I would ask those who simply cant stand politics to see if they can tolerate just to see this one video clip. Here we have someone making a Parliamentary Inquiry. This is usually meant to ask I dont understand that this and I would like it explained in more detail, however its also used as a way to inform everyone of a point that may have gone otherwise unnoticed. Got questions? There are a host of people to answer them including myself, and other people you may already be friends with. Get to know the processes, ESPECIALLY if you hate how its going right now. Get your point of order together. What he said, -me
