11 Facts About Me (Its a little long) 1. I have worked at the Golden Living Center for over 17 months (I originally started out volunteering there. Yeah, I read to old people for fun. :p). It feels like I have over one hundred grandparents and its the coolest feeling ever to be loved by so many people! 2. I love getting up before sunrise and brewing a strong cup of coffee. Sitting on the porch (which I helped build!) and listening to all the birds and horses and feeling the dew settle on my skin. Definitely makes for a great morning. I miss home. :( 3. I am absolutely a nerd at heart. I try my best to contain it, but it slips out and my geeky side appears. Ive kind of decided to just accept it at this point. 4. My sleeping patterns are totally random. Some nights I wont sleep at all (like tonight) and sometimes Ill sleep through an entire day. Its really a pain, but I do what I can. 5. I am spending my college years at SDSM&T. I really dont have a huge interest in engineering. Im slightly entertained by the idea of working with robots, but deep down I want to be a neurosurgeon one day. I am so intrigued by the way the brain works and I will gladly spend the rest of my life focusing on it. 6. My sisters and I are so different but I absolutely love them! In a way we all have our little quarks that make us individuals and somehow they work together. I miss the movie nights filled with enough sugar to last us a year and harmonizing choir songs until our vocal chords were shot. 7. I love to write! I have attempted to write multiple stories and only managed to finish one (when I was in fifth grade). The rest are packed away in folders in the basement waiting for a creative idea to pop into my mind. 8. There are only a few things I am truly afraid of. Clowns are near the top of this list, as are bees. On a more serious note, I am afraid of losing contact with my family. They provide so much support for me and the strength my family is obtained over the rough years has always been an inspiration for me. 9. I have only written one true poem and it was for English class a few years ago. It was supposed to tell the story of yourself and I took it to heart. I was feeling very poetic and used the sea to describe the hardships my family went through and then introduced my stepdad as the captain that saved my family. I even surprise myself when I read over it every now and then. 10. Almost everyone in my family is a role model to me. Ive been taught to have respect for myself and others. Keeping faith in myself when times get tough will help me get through anything and no matter what, times will get better. Being knocked down can actually build you up stronger. 11. Finally, I believe that a strong bond with God is important no matter who you are. I do, to some extent, believe in evolution and Im attending an engineering school, but I continue to keep my faith. I may not attend church regularly and I may not quote the Bible to others, but He loves me all the same. I stand by Him as He stands be me until the end I will always believe in a man that loves me and will forgive me of my sins when I make my way to Heaven. I guess if anyone is interested, like this and I guess Ill assign you a silly number so you can write yourself a fancy little bio to share some facts with everyone.
