BADIN NEWS The Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has directed to the officers of Sindh Irrigation & Drainage Authority (SIDA) and Sindh Irrigation Department to ensure supply of Irrigation water upto tail end within 3 to 4 days in Badin District failing which strict action would be taken against them. He directed DIG Police Hyderabad and Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad to keep their camp offices at Badin till the time and to extend their full administrative support to the Irrigation officers in regularizing Irrigation water up to the tail end. He also directed them to inquire into the matter of water shortage and to ascertain the causes of problem so that action be taken against the responsible. This he directed while addressing an open katchery which mostly attended by the growers of Badin held at courtyard of Circuit House Badin today. Sindh Minister Law Dr. Sikandar Mandhro, MNA Sardar Kamal Khan Chang, MPA Barrister Hasnain Mirza, MPA Bashir Halipoto, MPA Muhammad Nawaz Chandio, MPA Mir Allah Bux Talpur, Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Jamal Mustafa Syed, DIG Police Hyderabad Naeem Bhurka, Secretary Irrigation Babar Hussain Affandi, Deputy Commissioner Badin, Chief Engineer Rohri Canal, MD SIDA Ahsan Laghari, Director SIDA and other officers were present on the occasion. Expressing his concern over the problem of water shortage at Badin, the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that he took the notice of this situation much earlier but because of budgetary problems he couldn’t arrive at Badin at that time. However, he maintained that he had directed to the Secretary Irrigation to visit the area, coordinate the growers and ensure that their problem of water shortage are resolved. Subsequently he was informed that the problem of water shortage had been resolved but today when I arrived here and listened the same problem, it revealed upon me that the situation was same and very adverse, he added. BADIN NEWS Women including two children died of collapsed the water tank in Chak No: 17 Golarchi. Dead bodies were received by the heirs after autopsy. As detail, Falling down of the water tank at Chak No: 07, Golarchi, caused three persons died including 40 years aged Ms. Hani Talpur & her two innocents children 04 years old Manzoor Talpur & Amjad Talpur. The mishap occurred in village Yousif Talpur Chak No: 07 at Golarchi. The cause of death of three persons was sudden collapsed of water tank in village. After autopsy dead bodies have been received by the heirs and buried with soggy eyes in their ancestral graveyard. Badin News Abdul Majeed Gori, Clerk of Taluka Municipal Committee Badin has committed suicide due to unemployment of his young son. As detail, Abdul Majeed Gori 50, clerk of Taluka Municipal committee Badin committed suicide during office hours due to unemployment & neglecting his son for employment in the Municipal Committee, he was rushed to Civil Hospital Badin in very critical condition but he could not sustain more. It should be noticed that Abdul Majeed Gori was serving in Municipal Committee Badin for previous 20 years, during the regime of PPP Government employees of Municipal Committee were facilitated employment in the same department but his son was neglected of said quota. It is also learnt that before committing suicide he said that if his son was not given employment in the municipal committee, he will commit suicide. Badin News Unrest & uncertainty conditions in Badin city As detail, three unknown armed persons at Seerani Badin looted cash amounting to RS. 250 thousands from a trader Govind Mal & flee from the spot. On the other hand, representatives of Traders Association Badin, staged sit in at Kazia Wah Bridge amid the city and staged protest. Addressing the gathering representatives of traders, Haji Taj Muhammad Mallah, Akbar Memon & others said that if culprits are not arrested immediately, they would announce shutter down on Saturday.
