Caps fans injured in car crash July 11, Sikhumbuzo Moyo Senior Sports Reporter FOUR Hwange-based Caps United supporters were on Sunday night involved in a road accident in Hwange, hours after donating a kit to the club in Bulawayo. The supporters had come to watch their team’s goalless draw against Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium. Two of the supporters, the chapter’s chairperson, Georgina Phiri and the driver Edward Museke were admitted to the Colliery Hospital with Phiri being discharged the following day while Museke is still at the hospital where he is reported to have undergone an X-ray as he sustained some head injuries. Museke is the Caps United national supporters’ association secretary-general. According to a police source, the driver, is suspected to have fallen asleep while behind the wheel but at the same time speeding just before Kambani Village (Number Three), resulting in the vehicle, a Toyota Mark Two, veering off the road and overturning and rolling a couple of times.
