Eartha Kitt was born in 1927 to a half african-american/ native-american mother on a small cotton plantation in Orangeburg, SC. She never knew her father (presumed to be the white plantation owners son). She spoke 4 languages and sang in 7 (with such fluency that many other countries upon hearing her music, mistook her for a native star) and was described as the most exciting woman in the world by Orson Wells, and a sadistic nymphomaniac by the CIA (after she denounced the Vietnam war at a White-House luncheon and made First-Lady Johnson cry). She wrote songs such as Santa Baby and made songs like Whatever Lola Wants famous, and has played as Nefertiti and Helen of Troy. She is currently remembered as being Catwoman from the Adam West Batman series :-/ .
