Here is in engish the comments published at The Circle of Venezuelan Writers regarding my poetry: It is safe to say this poetry book of high lyrical value will be recognized as an important work within the literature. It is obvious to me that it is the product of the work of an experienced and educated poet in the concepts of Contemporary Latin American Poetry The reader will appreciate that the author is one of those poets who will leave a mark on Hispanic American Literature and for that I recommend this work, which in addition to being very poetically lyrical, is worked with a careful and educated language There is a poem that grabbed me totally. It is titled The Lady With The Black Veil. Through this poem it is possible to understand the fabulous style of the author Professor and Doctor Ernesto kahan (Nobel Peace Prize 1985 and among many more recognitions is Professor Emeritus at Tel Avi University and President of The Israeli Association of Writers of the Spanish Language Her poetry often express Swiss psychiatrist C. G. Jungs idea of opposites and tries to find a balance between opposites. Her poetry expresses both the joy and the anguish inherent in human nature. Madrid describes not only the beauty in people and nature but also the ugliness and trauma in the world. Maria Gabriela Madrid forces us to look at our own opposites and find our balance, and she does so with lyricism,metaphors,lively images, and figurative language. Her poetry is equally beautiful in Spanish and English. The themes haunt us like ghosts from our own pasts, but in the end, the reader is left with a positive view of life and feels good about himself or herself. James Brandenburg has been twice Poet Laureate by the Association of Poetry of San Antonio-Texas (SAPA). He has worked 42 years in Education and is a Certified Poetry Therapist, Mental Counselor, Annalist of Dreams and Co-founder of Voices De La Luna Magazine,San Antonio,Texas. Brandenburg is Adjunct Professor at San Antonio College and mastered several languages: English,German and Spanish.
