I am working on a new fundraising platform for Rock the Cause Inc. 501c3. Over the years we have built up contacts with major labels, artists, and management companies. In 2015 you will start to see celebrity items, concert tickets, memorabilia go on auction to raise money for Rock the Cause. I know sometimes their is a perception that we are a cash rich organization. If you are selling hundreds of thousands of music singles, and thousands of of charity records why do you guys need money? We give a lot of money and resources to charities. Like any nonprofit we have to pay for staff, insurance, accounting and professional fees, marketing, payroll taxes etc. These things add up to tens of thousands of dollars. Since we are not front line social services or a research facility we have to find ways for the public to support Rock the Cause in ways that are meaningful and low cost. I am looking forward to another incredible year for Rock the Cause in 2015. We cant go it alone. We have to change up our engagement in a way that creates meaning for Rock the Cause.
