Im sorry, I posted this already, but I am so bitter about so many things right now in regards to this area I just felt compelled to post it again, after I settle down I may decide to remove it but I doubt it………….. Im sorry but this is just maddening (to say it as nicely as I possibly can). What an absolute joke!! Thanks Cornelius, I wish I could send you an invoice for $28,000….. thats how much my business was down this year during construction of this crippled pile of shit albatross yall decided to build for the same period last year. I know for a fact that some business owners closer to this project lost that in a week, some even less than a week! The city and chamber tout this area as a lake town!?! Ive laughed at that sentiment since the day I moved here. LKN is practically a 32,000 acre private lake. I interact with people visiting this area all summer long asking me where they can take a drive alone a lake shore, I tell them to hop on the interstate drive north to exit 31, cross back over 77, and come back south to 28. Repeat a second time if you didnt get enough the first time. Some people think Im being facetious, but I assure them I am as serious as a heart attack! I tell them Jetton Park is a nice place to take a walk, but they have to pay a small price to walk the path along the lake. It gets even more humorous when they ask for lake front dining. I tell them there are some great eats on the lake, but you dont really get a view of the lake per say, you might get lucky to get a table that overlooks a narrow bay. I am super grateful for all my success and appreciate all my customers, I know there are tons of people happy as pie to call LKN home, I dont mean to take away from that, but just like 20+ years ago when city planners had an opportunity to really make a lake town, they screwed the pooch just like they did now with this debacle. Town and Chamber officials if you really want to know what a lake town is supposed to be go visit Northern Wisconsin or Northern Lower Michigan or Chautauqua Lake, NY or Lake George, NY or Island Pond or Burlington, VT………. Youre city planning is a joke, the crap you put Modern Nissan through to rezone the property they are now converting into more new car parking. Insisting they heavily landscape it along 21 so that someday soon the visibility of the NEW cars will be less visible but yet the Hyundai and Infiniti dealers along the interstate at exit 28 dont have as much as a bush to block their view!!!!! One last thing, I give it 3 years or less before someone tries to speed through the diamond on the inside lane and cuts just a little too close to the wall, drives up the incline, and puts their car rubber-side up on the bridge, Ill pencil in an extra dollar on my county 2018 taxes if Im wrong! Rant over, Im out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
