Jennifers Top 10 Weight Loss Tips 1-Don’t be in such a hurry to see results super fast. You’re just going to set yourself up for failure that way. Instead, set small, incremental goals. 2-Don’t try to take everything at once. You are just going to get overwhelmed. Start by making simple changes. Don’t go from having never worked out to doing weightlifting and running for 2 hours every single day or from eating 3,000 calories a day to eating 1,200. Maintaining that is unrealistic. Looking and living a healthy is a lifestyle not an event. On the other hand you would never stop brushing your teeth after 3 months of brushing…so whatever you’ve found that works…STICK WITH IT! 3-Take your time to enjoy your food. Eating is not a race. If you eat slowly you give your brain enough time to realize when your body has had enough. 4-Keep yourself hydrated. Sometimes you’ll feel like you really need to eat even though you’re not hungry when you’re dehydrated….this gets me every time. I aim to finish drinking a Smart Water bottle, which is 33 ounces by 8am, noon, 4pm, 8pm and if I am up late once more before midnight. 5-Brush your teeth after eating a meal. Especially, after dinner…perhaps it’s just me but I feel yucky when I eat something immediately after brushing my teeth so it kind of stops me from eating snacks when I’m not hungry. Plus, it keeps my teeth white and shiny ;) At my last dental office visit my dentist told me my teeth were the whitest on the scale of hues on the palette. So brush away! 6-Be smart about your workout and train according to your goals. For example, if your specific goal is to lose weight and still look fit as well as having sculpted and toned physique doing our program will work for you. From everything I’ve done in my life or used in my program thus far, the results most people aim for is accomplished from a mix of cardio and circuit training. You work several muscles at once, your heart rate is up for most of the time, and your body has to burn a lot of calories because you’re hitting all the major muscles at once which you wouldn’t be if you were doing a more conventional routine. 7-Throw away all the junk food in your kitchen. If you have them there with you it is very easy to slip out of your diet but If you don’t have them in your house it is very unlikely that you’re going to get ready and drive to a store to get them. 8-Throw out the belief that food is bad or evil. A healthy belief system would be to understand food is your friend. Food provides you sustenance, fuel, vitamins, minerals and nutrients, energy and YOUR LIFE!!! Without food you would cease to exist. Food is waiting for you to recognize its worth and to be ts friend! 9-Eat one ingredient foods. One ingredient foods for example are eggs. So boil a dozen eggs and keep them on hand for a snack or eggs salad sandwich for lunch at the office. Having a boost of energy between 8:30am to 10am in the morning is best served with one of the following one ingredient foods: an orange, apple, banana or berries. Macking on some raw almonds or baby bell cheese rounds in the afternoon as a snack will pull you out of the munchies around 2:30 4:30pm in the afternoon. When you feel overweight after all of the Holiday partys and baking or you are looking to slim down for a special event like a wedding or high school reunion eating all one ingredient foods will never fail to deliver the results you are aiming for! 10-Do not speak in a derogatory way about yourself by labeling yourself or calling yourself names. Many times you will hear people in our Boot Camp, including myself, jokingly admitting to the Boot Camp crowd they are a sugar addict or a fast-food junkie, etc. I have never forgotten the moment I realized the concept my beliefs about myself eventually became my reality. I love this quote Whatever you think you are or think you arent...Youre right. So with this New Year... Choose your thoughts wisely. When you notice you are giving yourself a beat-down or complaining about your past choices even if they were only a few seconds prior....forgive it and like the famous 2014 hit song we all love to hate and love to love Let It Go! If you take these 10 tips and make them your plan I promise you will achieve your desired goals.
