Packard and Riggins shine for Canes 7/16/2013 8:19:46 PM The Evoshield Canes South 16u team defeated the East Cobb Twins 16u team by a score of 8-6. The Canes had good performances out of the bats of Bryant Packard (2016, D H Conley, NC) and Austin Riggins (2015, Riverside, SC). Packard was 2-3 driving in three. He showed off his gap power and live bat as he drove the ball for a double. Riggins was 1-2 out of the leadoff spot. He drove in one run displaying a fluid stroke and power potential. Riggins was able to rip a triple along with drawing one walk.
