A low pressure system will track into Western Quebec this morning. In the wake of this system, strong and gusty winds have developed over Lake Erie. These strong winds will move over Lake Ontario later this morning and gusts to 70 or 80 km/h will be possible along the north shores of lakes Erie and Ontario today. Additionally, for areas east of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, rain has changed to snow and a few cm can be expected today. Brisk northwest winds gusting to 60 or 70 km/h could produce local blowing snow with low visibilities. The winds over Southern Ontario will begin to gradually weaken later this afternoon as the low departs to the east.
