TUESDAYS FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: TUESDAY: After a mild - TopicsExpress

TUESDAYS FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: TUESDAY: After a mild night (with minimum temperatures between 14 and 15°C), this mornings heating will be rather slow, as the cloud doesnt totally clear off until lunchtime. However, fantastic sunshine should dominate the afternoon. With just the lightest northeasterly breezes, it should feel gorgeous, and temperatures should hit 20-21°C in most places. An after-school/work beach-trip could definitely be in order, particularly to the west coast or the south coast. The west-coast surf should be lovely (whether you are riding it or just taking pictures). The wave faces were 4-6 last night, and (hopefully) they should be as big between 9am and midday today. Perhaps smaller through the afternoon, but still very clean and shapely. WEDNESDAY: Increased sunshine means that many places have a good chance of hitting 22°C. The initial force 2-3 easterly breeze will probably back to a force 4 east-northeasterly through the afternoon so town will not be the hottest spot, that it usually is. This time it will be the northern ends of the west coast bays, or down at Petit Port on the south coast. THURSDAY: A fairly similar day really. Perhaps a little more cloud though, so max temps will probably stop between 20 and 21°C. With high tide at 2:20pm, hurry down to sheltered nooks like Grande Roque or Port Soif, for the perfect after-school beach trip (or Vazon if you want to catch the final ripples from that Cristobal surf). FRIDAY: Mixed cloud and sunshine, force 3 northeasterlies and a top temperature of about 20°C. As with the previous day, the dawn temperature will only be about 12°C, thanks to increasingly long and clear nights. THE WEEKEND: Saturdays forecast looks like a perfect repeat of Fridays, at the moment. Sunday, might be a bit sunnier and perhaps a degree warmer though, as the breeze veers a bit to an easterly again. Beachgoers should head west to take advantage of this summers lovely warm water. Pushing afternoon tides, over warm sand, should make for a very comfortable swim. High water should then be perfect for a spot of rock jumping, when the pink granite is glowing in the evening sun.
