The CIA inappropriately searched computers used by Senate Select Committee on Intelligence staff to prepare a report on the agency’s detention and interrogation program. This is inexcusable and offends the very notion of the separation of powers. As shocking as this is, our main focus must be releasing the committee’s study of the CIAs detention and interrogation program. The American people deserve a full accounting of what happened, so that they can come to terms with what has been done in their name.
