These last 2 weeks have been EXHAUSTING (physically, emotionally, and time-consuming) - moving my mom and her husband into Waconias The Lighthouse assisted living (Moms still doing fine, but Dons been in/out of hospital in December). An important take-away for me: Keep your life perspective YOUNG, regardless of your age. Ive met so many amazing people in their 80s and 90s who have great wit, positive attitudes, loving and caring spirits - and theyre still enjoying their lives. So many of us think as we get older, lifes quality diminishes. Maybe it does, but its up to each of us to take ownership of our attitudes and stay positive - despite our life condition. We may not have control of our aging, but we DO have control of how we handle it!
