Title: Whats Gods Greatest Creation? This weeks email title comes to you from gospel principles class. Brother Kirkman, our awesome ward mission leader: In your opinion, what is Gods greatest creation? Elder Yardley: My body. *awkward silence* Me: Thats pretty prideful of you, Elder. He tried to tell us that he meant the human body in general, but it was too late. So luckily everyones investigators and less actives really enjoyed themselves at church. Hopefully the uproarious laughter didnt draw the Spirit away. Christmas week was...a Christmas week on the mission. Honestly, most people enjoy it more than any other time of year but I tend to find it a little more stressful. Honestly, stressful has been basically the only world to describe my time in Lawrence so far. That comes from an easily stressed person though. Sister Heger had the good fortune and knowledge to remind me that every area Ive come into has been an incredibly stressful experience, and one day Ill look back on Lawrence the same way I look back on Ridgepoint, Hiawatha, and Lawrence - with a lot of laughter, love, good memories, and miracles recognized. Church was super weird this week since basically everyone was out of town. The High Priest Group Leader had to preside since there was no one from the Bishopric there. But there were quite a few less active families in attendance, which was really awesome. Christmas day all of the missionaries got together at the institute building for breakfast and present opening. Then back home for studies and getting ready. Lunch at the Lovings and skyping our families. Sister Loving made a whole crockpot full of Lil Smokies (those tiny hot dog things) which are really not that great but somehow super addicting. Me and Elder Yardley went to TOWN on them and when later in the day we both had dinner at the Kirkmans we looked at each other with intense feelings of regret. Its spread so now Lil Smokies has become a catchphrase extolling self control and self mastery. Mission catchphrases are the best. Then I completely destroyed the elders and our members at Apples to Apples. Its been 15 months but I still got it with the board game skills. Sister Heger and I are teaching all the other missionaries how to play Nertz for P-day today in which I plan to make all the other missionaries cry from the pure pain of defeat. It will be great. I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas! I cant believe 2014 is coming so quickly to a close. Have a happy new year as well!!! Much love, Sister Brontë Forsgren How could you not snuggle with the Ozakis giant Christmas teddy bear?
