“WHY DO I HAVE TO SUFFER?” Why do I have to suffer? That is a question that a lot of people ask. A lot of Christian will say Jesus suffered so it is meant for us to suffer because we stand for Jesus. They will go even further and say that Jesus disciples suffered spreading his Gospel. Let’s see John the Baptist was beheaded, Christ died on the cross, Paul persecuted Christians before he was transformed by Christ, Paul was arrested for spreading the gospel, John was dipped in hot oil for spreading the gospel of Jesus, and many more were arrested or killed for spreading the gospel of Jesus. We have to understand back then was the beginning and the foundation of spreading the gospel of Jesus. There were a lot of religious customs and people still living by the laws of Moses. There were a lot of Jewish customs that they had to deal with and also they had to go out and spread the gospel to a lot of people that were outside of the Jewish customs. Those people were the Gentiles. That is the reason why there was a lot of suffering. I find it to be sad that a lot of preacher preach that because Christ and his disciples and other followers suffered that it is meant for us to suffer in life also. They teach us it is ok for us to live in poverty, sickness, confusion, and be unhappy in life because we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior. We make it seemed to be ok to suffer here on the earth, we are suppose to suffer because we are going to get our reward in Heaven. Well I disagree with that big lie! There are a lot of good and awesome speakers out there ministering the word of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ. At the same time there are a lot of preachers out there that are taking advantage of people and are living a so called prosperous life while their people are living in lack and poverty. To make it look good for them they tell there people that they are suffering for Jesus and they will get there reward in Heaven. They tell you that there is a mention in Heaven for you just waiting for you to get there. In the book of Hosea it says “my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge because the reject knowledge.” People we need to read the word for ourselves. That is how we start to renew our minds. To be real we as people suffer because we choose to suffer. To be honest with ourselves, if we have to blame anyone for our life issue then we has to blame ourselves. A lot of times we make wrong decisions and we have to pay the price for them. It all starts by changing the way we think. We need to learn how to make wise decisions in life. We do not have to suffer. I am not saying that we are going to live a perfect life and we will never experience difficult situations. We are always are going to have some challenges in our life, that does not mean that we have to suffer. We are supposed to learn from those challenges and use the power of God to conqueror those challenges. One thing that I was taught by my parents is no matter what you do there is always is going to be someone to talk about you, so you might as well continue to live your life and do the best you can. They are going to talk when you do badly and they are going to talk when you do well. It is impossible to please everybody, so you might as well live to please God. If you take the time to think about it, if we are meant to suffer then what was the purpose for Jesus to die on the cross for us. I know it was for us to have a way to enter into Heaven. It is also so we can have a relationship with God. By us accepting Jesus as our lord and savior that open up the doors for us to call God our Father. If he his Father then he is going to take care of his children. We are of a royal priest hood. That does not sound like a person that is to live in sickness and poverty. We serve a good and gracious God. The same power he put in Jesus he also put in us. I refuse to suffer and I will not suffer because I do not have to suffer. I know the God that I serve and I know he wants me to live a life on Earth full of good health, abundance in every area of my life and he wants to be a blessing to my fellow brothers and sisters. I hope all of you get life out of this and realize that it is not meant for you to suffer in your life. If you suffer it is because you choose to suffer. May God get the glory of this document?
