Whos in the right here? Consider: • Officer responding to complaint call (calls?) by a neighbor stating that the man looked like a suspicious person seen in the area before. • The man had lived one block away for ten years from where he was killed, and, according to his friends, was well known on the street. • The man wasn’t doing anything criminal at the time (knocking on doors, soliciting snow removal business). • Snow had melted off driveways by the time, but cop not phased by mans assertion of seeking to arrange regular future business. Americas persecuted minority: small business?, or police just doing their jobs? Does the American Founders implicit principle figure-in to how to decide & reconcile this controversy? — of the proper use of force by government in a free society as, and *only* as, retaliation solely against prior initiation of force by third parties toward peaceful citizens?
