REALLY Great News, well at least for me My new camera housing Aquatica Underwater Housing with the 8 dome port should be here next week. Also my new Nikon D610 camera should also be here next week as well... keeping the same lens that I have now, the Nikon 16 f/2.8 that I own. I have both the Nikon D800E and the D4s, but these cameras is a lot of money to place in an underwater housing.. plus the housing cost more. I use my camera as a tool, rather than just take snap shots... The Nikon D610 is a big step up from the Nikon D200 at 12 megapixels DX and my Titan Housing which has now seen 4 new cameras over the life span of this housing. So why did I purchase the Nikon D610 and not use any of my cameras that I own? Good Question, Joe. First at 24 megs thats a pretty nice file size to use for photos. I also know that I will wear out my camera before the housing. If I used my Nikon D800E which is not made any longer at a price tag of $3200 thats a lot of money and my D4s is almost $6500.00 (that is only the body) ... now, when they start to wear out, I will only be able to purchase used cameras... The Nikon D610 is $1700.00 well guess what... I can purchase almost 4 Nikon D610 cameras for the price of a single camera and still have money left over and I will still get great results with the Full Frame Sensor, High Megapixel Count, 6 Frames Per Second. Also the housing will take 2 models, the Nikon D600 and the D610... so I have more options down the road. So that was my reason in a nut shell. Hopefully it will be here in time for my 2 day Photo Seminar.
