The Southern Lady brand was initiated by Debbie in 2003 when she rented one half (1/2) of a booth. Response was good and within the space of one week she had rented the other half of the booth. Inventory turned over quickly and soon she opened a second and then a third booth. 2006 came and two more booths were rented in a mall in a nearby town. 2007 came with the opening of a store at 115 Trenton Street and closure of all five booths in the two malls. Southern Lady moved to its current location at 303 Trenton Street in West Monroe when the owners purchased the old “Mitchell Building”, the second oldest building on the street. The display area in the store is approximately 6,000 square feet. All inventory in the store is owned either by the owners, Cecil and Debbie Willis or by one of their three vendors. Southern Lady Antiques and Collectibles inventory consists of European and American furniture, elegant glassware, old doors, windows, etc., home and yard décor. Also sold are furniture cleaning and maintenance products from Howard Products, Inc. Southern Lady truly has something for everyone!
