Reflecting on 2014 tonight. Im struggling with thinking about the disappointments and negative that have been a part of my life this year. I refuse to allow those events to define me in a negative way. Losing our home in early 2014 was devastating but we were blessed with a home to move to. I was forced to step out of my comfort zone in a new town. God wanted me to open my heart to a new community. One of my children turned 17 and decided to move out on her own. My heart hurt so badly I didnt think I could stand it. God is teaching me to trust Him because I have no control. My mom had emergency by-pass surgery in November. Three weeks in the hospital/rehab and still struggled when she came home. While still recovering from surgery, she had a stroke. This string of events have been a whirlwind of changes and deep emotions. I am moving in with my mom to care for her as 2014 ends and 2015 begins. We will move forward together as a family. The years that hold the most difficulty are the ones that makes us stronger. Tomorrow I plan to lift the house and sweep the foundation. 2015 - sharp rocks below? Bring it on!
